As of December 2016, the Hebei Provincial Library had a total building area of 48,500 square meters and a collection of over 3 million volumes (items), including 79,100 ancient books, 5,644 rare books, and more than 28,000 microforms.
The library was temporarily closed starting November 19, 2022, and resumed its operations on December 10, 2022.
